Useful resources and references for immigrating and working in Québec

Visitor status

Visitor status holders who wish to work in Québec must obtain an official job offer from a company established in Québec. Your employer and you must then take steps to obtain legal authorization to work here:

  • apply for a temporary selection
  • apply for a work permit from the Government of Canada

The Ministère de l'Immigration, de la Francisation et de l'Intégration can also assist businesses in the recruitment of immigrants, whether they are abroad, about to settle in Québec or already in Québec.

The Québec government's online immigration service that allows to fill out a declaration of interest, apply to a program and register for the accompaniment service.

Accompagnement québec

Free and personalized service offered to immigrants, whether in Québec or abroad, to facilitate their integration and participation in Québec society in French language.

INFORMATION SESSIONS

Online sessions offered free of charge in several languages by the Ministère de l'Immigration, de la Francisation et de l'Intégration to learn more about Québec, its society, its economy and the immigration process.

French language is essential for participating in Québec society, integrating into the job market or community life. The Government of Québec offers French courses in different formats: full or part-time, online, in-company, abroad.
